The three-node-replication is a widely established way of securing your platform against total outages of network operation centers or power problems. By replicating your data from one to another NOC, you create a completely new layer of security, which ensures that your business will still be online even in case of larger problems.
Starting with DRBD 8.3, three-node-replication is a standard-feature provided by DRBD 8.3. DRBD 8.3 allows everyone to replicate data onto a third node via a perfectly normal internet connection – no matter whether this node is at the same location or somewhere else.
