Persistent Container Storage


LINBIT’s volume management software creates pools of persistent storage for containerized applications. These storage pools can be easily scaled out and replicated based on your specific system requirements. With minimal CPU costs, this storage works seamlessly with your most critical read and write intensive applications.

LINSTOR uses the PV/PVC model native to Kubernetes, to attach storage to containers. Combined with the in-kernel DRBD software for synchronous or asynchronous data-replication, LINBIT can provide persistent storage to Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.

Since the software simply presents a block device, users do not need to use complex, shared file systems. Because we can use a single node with a filesystem on top of a block device, backing disk failure is transparent to the end user.
